First persons perspective
In 2016 I created 'Be Boy Be Girl', the Multi sensory installation in which I experimented with all the senses to create an embodied experience. In the installation you could choose to be a boy or girl in a first persons experience in a different surrounding. In the short clip beneath (a sort excerpt of an tv-item about the installation) you see how the spectator with Oculus rift glasses (VR) sees the body of a young woman on the beach from a first persons perspective.
Underneath you see a picture of the installation in which the spectator is lying.
At the time it was very much an experiment to combine touch, virtual reality, omni audio and smell. But looking back it is again so much about this embodied experience and trying to find ways to engage the spectator and immerse them in another world.
